The Quadrasorb-SI has four independent measurement station, each with an independent Dewar.

Quadrasorb - Unique multi-station BET surface area and Pore Analysis System with fully independent control of each analysis station.

Each analysis station has a dedicated pressure transducer, dewar, liquid nitrogen level control and P0 measurement cell to allow high accuracy independent studies of BET surface area and mesopore size distributions on up to 4 samples simultaneously.

With oil free turbomolecular pump as an option for high-vacuum degassing, and a high resolution 10 Torr pressure transducer, Quadrasorb allows the measurement of surface areas as low as 0.0005m2/g using Krypton BET as required with many active pharmaceutical materials, powdered metals and materials only available in small quantities such as novel nano-materials.

The Quadrasorb is ideal as a flexible research instrument or for demanding quality control applications. The ability to launch analysis on each station as soon as the sample is available can offer an important enhancement to throughput, compared with batch multi-sample systems where the delay is determined by the slowest sample of the lot.

The Quadrasorb is available with:

  • 2-4 analysis ports for simultaneous measurement of up to 4 samples
  • Independent measurement on each station with dedicated pressure transducer, dewar, liquid nitrogen level control, P0 measurement cell.
  • Completely independent control of each station.
  • Capabilities for sorption studies with gases other than N2 such as Ar, CO2, C4H10, etc.
  • Low surface area measurement capabilities using Kr.
  • Full software package, for measurement control and data analysis, including the full Quantachrome library of isotherm analysis functions, from basic BET surface areas to state-of-the-art NLDFT porosity determination.
  • Patented oil free turbo pumping options.
  • Long-life dewar up to 30 hours.
  • Temperature monitored dosing volume for high accuracy.
  • Choice of classical He void volume determination or patented He free modes.

A range of stand-alone degassers, both vacuum and flowing, is also available for sample preparation.
