ChemBET-Pulsar dynamic chemisorption analyser for Catalyst Characterisation

The ChemBET-Pulsar is a highly automated instrument for analysis of catalyst properties by flowing reaction techniques. Using a highly sensitive thermal conductivity detector (TCD) it allows the study of a wide range of different reactions:

  • TPD
  • TPreduction
  • TPO
  • TPReaction
  • Pulsed Chemisorption

The instrument features:

  • High stability TCD, resistant to oxygen, Ammonia and most other common chemisorption gases. A bypassable cold trap allows selective removal of effluent species.
  • Furnace for Temperature programmed experiments up to 1100°C, with rapid cooling function for rapid chained measurements. An optional low-temperature accessory allows TPx measurements starting from -100°C (173K).
  • Multiple programmable gas inputs.
  • Automatic loop injector for for metal area Titrations and dispersion determination.
  • Degas port with independent heater (450°C max)

A complete software package allows design and acquisition of experiments, and analysis of the acquired data:

  • Gas switching, purging.
  • Temperature ramping and setpoint control, with rapid cooling.
  • Pulse injection
  • Multiple step "macro" programs
